Closed for the Season - See You in 2023!



The Grinnell Mutual Family Aquatic Center is located at 120 8th Avenue West (map). It is open during the summer months when school is not in session. The phone number is 641-236-2621.

Lap Swim


  • 6 am - 8 am Monday through Friday
  • 7 am - 9 am Saturday
  • 11 am -12 pm Monday through Sunday
  • 5 pm - 6 pm Monday through Friday

Lap swim time is reserved for those age 16 and older to swim laps or walk against the current of the lazy river.  

Open Swim

  • 12 pm - 5 pm Monday through Friday
  • 12 pm - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday
  • Two lap lanes open at all times during open swim

Family Swim


  • 5 pm - 6 pm Monday through Friday
During family swim, anyone under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 21 years  or older. Everyone else must leave during this time. Slides and diving area will be closed during Family Swim. Families may use zero-depth and children play areas. This time is designed for families with younger children.

Early Closings:
  • Tuesday, June 14th 3:30 p.m.
  • Monday, July 4th 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 5th 3:30 p.m. 
  • Friday, July 29th 5:00 p.m.
Beginning August 6th the center will close at 6 pm.

Last day of Season: Monday, August 22nd
