Used book sale to be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8th in the Caulkins Community Room at the Drake Community Library. Admission is free. Hardback books are $1, paperback and children's books are 50 cents. All proceeds will be used by the Friends of Drake Community Library to enhance the holdings and services made available in the library.

Looking for a new place to trick or treat? Stop by Ahrens Park and see all the decorated trunks/tents on Saturday, October 22nd. You will be able to walk as a family from spot to spot in the large parking lot anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. This event is free and open to all families of Grinnell and the surrounding area. It is brought to you by the Ahrens Park Foundation, the Claude W. & Dolly Ahrens Foundation, and the Grinnell Parks & Recreation department. Any businesses interested in reserving a parking spot should contact the Grinnell Parks & Recreation Department at 641-236-2620.
Grinnell's city-wide Trick-or-Treat night will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31st. Keep an eye out for little ghosts and goblins when you are out that evening. Leave your porch light on if you have treats to share.
