Building permits for repair of portions of a roof or siding due to the storms of August 10th are being waived. If an entire roof or all siding is to be replaced, a building permit will be required. Director of Building & Planning, Tyler Avis, can be reached at 319-389-3977 to discuss permits. 

Property owners are reminded to ensure any contractor doing work on their building is registered with the State of Iowa. This is required before the city will issue permits and for the property owner’s protection.
