City officials remind property owners that yards need to be maintained. City code, chapter 52, requires lawns be kept at a maximum height of eight inches. Property owners with over-grown vegetation including but not limited to grasses, weeds, vines, and brush exceeding eight inches will be mailed a written notice to comply with city code. After the stated deadline in the notice, city employees will have the yard mowed and bill the property owner accordingly.
