City staff provides an update on the North Streets Inlay, Summer Street Inlay, 4th Avenue Bridge, and Penrose Street Inlay projects. 

North Streets Inlay: 

Street closure will occur Tuesday May 16. This includes Spencer north of 14th and 14th from Reed to Belmont. Reed and 14th will remain open as long as practical. The work involving sidewalks and driveways will occur within the same street closures to minimize the number of times an area is disrupted by the construction project. Mailboxes are set up and the USPS should have placed notices in the residential mailboxes as to which temporary box is assigned to each home. Please remember to park on streets adjacent to these closures for access to your homes.

Summer Street Inlay:

Sidewalks at corners and some curbs will be paved in the next week or two followed by asphalt work from 3rd to 6th. 4th will be closing when the asphalt work begins.

4th Avenue Bridge Replacement:

Windstream is relocating lines this week and next to be followed by street paving. We are hoping to have this open to traffic by mid-June.

Penrose Inlay:

Sidewalks will be completed by the end of the week. Grading and seeding is all that will remain to be completed.
