On the morning of Monday, May 19th, Con-Struct Inc. of Marshalltown, Iowa will begin work on Phase 4 of the reconstruction of the Grinnell Central Business District. 4th Avenue from Broad Street to the Union Pacific rail line will be closed. The intersection of 4th Avenue and Park Street will remain open until June 17th. Con-Struct Inc. will start by placing safety barrier fences and removing existing concrete surfaces. All work on 4th Avenue from Broad Street to the Union Pacific rail line is expected to be completed by Monday, September 1, 2014.

The reconstruction work on 4th Avenue from Main Street to Pearl Street will take place from approximately May 1, 2015 to October 15, 2015.
