Per Fire Chief, Dan Sicard, the outdoor warning signal based at the airport is out of service. This warning signal is used to alert people out of doors in the event of a tornado. People out of doors in the area served by the airport signal will need to keep a watchful eye when bad weather is forecasted and rely on other alert methods such as weather radios or mobile alerts to let them know when a tornado is in the area.

It is unknown at this time as to when the signal will be repaired.
