Traffic signal installation at the intersection of Highways 6 and 146 has begun. City staff recommends vehicles avoid this intersection if at all possible until the project is complete. Those that do choose to travel in this area should expect lane closures and should proceed with caution. It is hoped the project will be complete by the end of the week. 

The installation of traffic signals completes a project that began in the spring of 2018. The project included reconstruction of a deep manhole, re-configuration of the intersection to allow safer turning of large trucks, and reduction of the lanes on West Street north of the intersection from two to one lane.
