Curbside Pick-Up of Recyclables to End June 28th

The City Council has decided to end curbside pick-up of recyclables as of June 28th. Until that time, residents and businesses can continue to place their red bin with recyclable material at the curb for pick up on their regular solid waste pick up day. City staff does remind customers to keep their red bin at least four feet away from their brown trash cart. The solid waste truck requires clearance of at least four feet on all sides of the cart in order for the automatic arm to safely pick up the cart.

The recycling center located at 1411 1st Avenue will be undergoing changes in preparation for the increase in number of customers dropping off recyclable material after curbside pick up ends. Hours of operation and any other relevant changes will be communicated closer to that date.
