Final paving on East Street is scheduled to be completed the week of September 16th with the street surface ready for traffic and opened on September 21st. Sidewalk and landscape work will continue but any work to be done will not require street closure. 

The East Street project includes removal of the street surface, some underground infrastructure replacement, addition of handicap sidewalk ramps at intersections, curb replacement as needed, and repaving of the street. 

This project is part of an overall project to reconstruct East Street from Garfield Avenue to 6th Avenue. The portion of the project from Garfield to 1st Avenue was completed in 2018.
