I plan to use a substantial amount of water outside, can I get credit on the sewer charges for this water?

Yes, provided you obtain an outside water meter from the water department prior to using the water. There is a $20 charge for use of the meter. At the current rates 300 cubic feet of water needs to be used to cover the $20 charge. 300 cubic feet is roughly equal to 2250 gallons. To obtain an outside watering meter complete the outside watering meter request form. For more information see the Outside Watering Meters webpage.
