Land Plan Grinnell Open House

The City's Comprehensive Plan needs community feedback. An open house will be held October 2nd at Drake Community Library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

GHS Homecoming Parade & Pep Rally

Grinnell-Newburg High School Homecoming Parade in downtown Grinnell followed by a pep rally in Central Park. The parade route is as follows: beginning at 4th Avenue and Broad Street it will head north on Broad Street, west on 5th Avenue, south on Main Street, and finally east on 4th Avenue where it will disperse at Central Park.

Fire Prevention Breakfast

This year's breakfast to support refurbishment of the rescue fire truck for the department.

Trunk or Treat

Looking for a new place to trick or treat? Stop by Ahrens Park and see all the decorated trunks/tents on Saturday, October 28th. You will be able to walk as a family from spot to spot in the large parking lot anytime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. This event is free and open to all families of Grinnell and the surrounding area. It is brought to you by the Ahrens Park Foundation, the Claude W. & Dolly Ahrens Foundation, and the Grinnell Parks & Recreation department. Any businesses interested in reserving a parking spot should contact the Grinnell Parks & Recreation Department at 641-236-2620.

Trick or Treat

Grinnell's city-wide Trick-or-Treat night will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31st. Keep an eye out for little ghosts and goblins when you are out that evening. Leave your porch light on if you have treats to share.
