The City of Grinnell - with revenue generated by the Local Option Sales Tax - is committing at least $3 million to replace the existing pool with a high quality outdoor pool that has a 50-year life span.
For many communities, voter approved public financing is the most difficult and challenging component. Grinnell has this piece of the project firmly in place now. |
This campaign’s goal is to gather a matching $3 million in private donor support for the equipment, fixtures and infrastructure needed to transform this new facility into a Family Aquatic Center. |
To create a Family Aquatic Center that reflects what people in this area need and want will take approximately $3 million in contributions from individuals, businesses and foundations. |
