Permit Fees
Permit fees are based on the valuation of the work performed, including both materials and labor. If labor is at no cost, the permit fee is based on the material cost times two. Permit fees include all normal plan reviews and inspections. Beginning July 1, 2018 a number of items are charged a flat rate regardless of the valuation of the work completed (see chart below).
Flat Rate Fees
The following schedule of fees will apply to the projects listed below. These fees shall apply only to the replacement of an existing building element, and not one which is part of a new residential or commercial project, unless specifically stated. When one of these building elements is installed as part of a newly built residential or commercial structure, or an addition therein, the valuation of such specific project is to be included in the complete project's valuation:
