Lions Park is considered a Special Use Area due to its location next to the Grinnell Mutual Family Aquatic Center.  The Park covers 2.6 acres.  The Grinnell Area Recreational Trail (GART) runs along the west side of the shelter and the playground equipment.  A path surrounds the playground equipment with benches for viewing and trees for shade. 

The 21 foot by 42 foot shelter house can be rented at the following rates:
$20.00 four hour minimum
$5.00 for each additional hour up to a $60.00 per day maximum
